A plain-English health check on your website's ability to turn visitors into customers

You're paying to get people to your website, whether that's through Google Ads, social, SEO or word of mouth. But traffic on its own is worthless. What matters is how many of those visitors actually do the thing you want them to do: buy, enquire, book, or get in touch.

That's what CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) is about. Most websites leak customers at predictable points: confusing pages, forms that ask too much, missing trust signals, slow mobile experiences, checkouts that scare people off. The frustrating part is you can't see these problems yourself, because you're too close to your own site.

This audit looks at your live website the way a paying customer does, compares it directly against 4 of your competitors, and tells you in plain terms what's costing you sales, where, and what to fix first. No jargon, no 50-page PDF you'll never read, no agency retainer.

One report. Everything that matters.

Your report is generated by researching your live site and your competitors' sites in real time, then scoring every brand across the conversion areas that actually move the needle.

Your CRO Audit Report

Questions business owners usually ask

CRO stands for Conversion Rate Optimisation. Your conversion rate is the percentage of website visitors who do the thing you want, like buying a product or sending an enquiry. A CRO audit is a structured review of your website to find out what's stopping more of them doing it. Think of it like a survey on a house: it doesn't fix anything itself, but it tells you exactly what needs fixing, how urgent each thing is, and what it's likely costing you to leave it.
Because your customers don't look at your website in isolation. They open yours and 2 or 3 competitors in different tabs and compare. If a competitor shows reviews next to the buy button and you don't, or their enquiry form takes 30 seconds and yours takes 3 minutes, you lose the sale and never know why. Benchmarking against 4 competitors shows you exactly where you're being beaten and where you have an edge worth shouting about.
An agency CRO audit typically costs Β£1,500 to Β£5,000+, takes 2 to 4 weeks, and often arrives as a long deck padded out to justify the fee. This audit applies the same research-backed framework, reviews your live site and competitors in real time, and delivers a focused, prioritised report in minutes for a fraction of the cost. It's built around the same evidence professional CRO teams use, including Baymard Institute research, which is the largest body of ecommerce UX testing in the world. What you don't get is someone to implement the changes, though the report is written so you or your developer can action it directly.
No. The audit doesn't work from a template of generic tips. It researches your actual live website and your competitors' websites during the audit, and every finding has to be based on something specifically observed on those pages. If something can't be verified from the outside, like your analytics data, the report says so honestly rather than guessing. You'll see references to your real pages, your real competitors and your real gaps.
Just your website address, your email, and your access code from your purchase confirmation. Everything else is optional. If you know your competitors, great, add them. If you don't, choose "Find them for me". Every question in the flow has a "Not sure" option and the audit will work things out from your site. You don't need analytics access, logins or any technical knowledge.
The questions take about 2 minutes to answer. The audit itself runs for around 2 to 4 minutes while it researches your site and competitors, so keep the tab open. The report then appears on screen and a copy is emailed to you automatically. You can also print it or save it as a PDF from the report screen.
Pick whichever drives the majority of your revenue, because that's where the audit's depth will do the most good. If it's genuinely 50/50, or you're unsure, choose "Not sure" and the audit will review your site, decide which model fits best, tell you its reasoning, and apply the right framework. You can always run a second audit with the other goal selected.
Yes, that's the point of how it's structured. The action plan separates quick wins, which are things like copy changes, moving trust signals and tweaking buttons that need no developer and can be done in under a week, from structural changes that do need development work. Each recommendation explains why it matters in plain terms, so even if a developer or your web platform handles the change, you'll understand what you're asking for and why.
For ecommerce sites: homepage, category and product pages, cart and checkout, plus the mobile experience. For lead generation sites: homepage, key service or landing pages, your enquiry form and contact page, plus mobile. The audit focuses effort where the evidence says conversions are won and lost, which for ecommerce is overwhelmingly the checkout, and for lead gen is the form.
Your report is generated for you, shown to you and emailed to you. Your email address is used to deliver the report and nothing else. We don't share your report or your details with anyone, and your competitors are never notified that an audit mentioning them was run. Publicly visible website content is all the audit ever looks at, which is the same thing any visitor or competitor can already see.
Occasionally a run can fail, for example if a website blocks automated visitors or a connection drops. If that happens you'll see an error message rather than a half-finished report, and your access code remains valid, so just run it again. If you're still stuck, reply to your purchase confirmation email and we'll sort it.
Each purchase covers an audit for one website. If you run multiple sites, or you're an agency or consultant who wants to run these for clients, get in touch through the contact page and we'll set you up with multi-site access.
